What happened in 2012???

Long time no blog entry! OOPS! Here's a quick recap of our journey. We began our journey to parenthood in May of 2008. Februrary of 2010, we began the TONS of paperwork to begin the adoption process. For a while, we had our profile book shown and were praying to grow our family through a domestic adoption. We both felt God leading us to international adoption so we met with the international director in March of this year. We got the call the Friday before Mother's Day that we had been matched with our Libby Rose! Since our initial preliminary match, we've filled out quite a bit more paperwork, had 3 amazing showers, and have had 2 updates from Hong Kong! Currently we are anxiously awaiting the official approval from Hong Kong. 1-2-13 will be five weeks since we've last heard from HK's government. Once we submitted our Dossier, we were askd three sets of questions to clarify things from the bazillion pages detailing our lives. Once this next step occurs, a timeline will become more predictable. Through this time of waiting to meet and bring our little miracle home, we've been able to prepare for her special needs. We've researched, met with quite a few different professionals, and have talked with other parents. We know there will be challenges, but we are oh so ready to become Libby Rose's parents in real life. Some things to pray for specifically *Libby Rose to progress with walking, talking, and feeding *Official approval from Hong Kong Hopefully we'll be able to share pictures soon. :)
